  • The Boys & Girls Club launched its spring break camp this week in Wichita Falls, offering active sports, crafts, and academic help for kids. The camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily with 7:30 a.m. drop off and 5:30 p.m. pick up for just $30 per year.  News Channel 6

  • Gas prices are climbing to about $3.25 per gallon, an increase of over 57 cents in one week that is prompting some drivers to cut back on trips outside their neighborhood. AAA explains that global supply disruptions & shifting oil routes are spurring rapid mid-day price changes.  News Channel 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City officials are reminding residents to update their CodeRED contact information (the county’s emergency notification system) ahead of storm season, recommending that they log into the account portal or create a new account to verify their details.  News Channel 6

  • Baseball players Talin Webb and Adrian Arias from Burkburnett will sign with Midwest colleges within the next two weeks (Webb will join Labette Community College in Parsons and Arias will play at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma).  News Channel 6
  • District play for high school baseball started when Henrietta hosted City View on Wednesday, Mar. 11. Henrietta pulled ahead early and won 6 to 0 (City View suffered its second loss this season).  News Channel 6
