- ➤ Local animal rescue Emily’s Legacy took in 33 cats from an animal control seizure, including 6 kittens, and they need donations to cover spaying and care. The group plans to find foster and adoptive homes for the cats soon (donations can be made through their Facebook page). News Channel 6
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Randall Carpenter lost his life on Sunday, March 15 after he rushed into hazardous water at Amon G. Carter Lake – attempting to rescue his children at Selma Park, and his body was recovered after a two-day search while his children were saved. News Channel 6
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Chad Crowley, owner of BroCro Creative, received an email with his business logo and a fake HR signature (including a QR code) that prompted him to warn staff and report the scam to the Better Business Bureau. News Channel 6
- ➤ A new grocery and meat market at 3906 Jacksboro Highway is set to have a soft opening within three weeks after delivery delays. The full-service store will provide meat cutting, produce, a small bakery (also offering a hot food deli and taqueria), with a grand opening date to come. Times Record News
- ➤ 20 minutes south of Wichita Falls in Scotland, Snookie's Craft Kitchen serves entrées and brunch after nearly three months of renovations. Owners Pedro and Jessica Cruz say chef De'Metrion Cooper values customer feedback as the restaurant joins local events including Empty Bowls and the Red River Wine and Beer Festival.
