After nearly eight years of planning and fundraising, a new state-of-the-art Boys and Girls Club facility on the east side opened today at 501 North Rosewood — it now welcomes children aged 6 to 18.

The modern building has a dance studio, test kitchen, teen center, gym, art studio and computer lab and offers a $12 annual membership.
