- ➤ On Sunday, the Wichita Falls Fire Department responded to two house fires—one at 1715 Tucson Dr before dawn that they put out in about 20 minutes and is under investigation after previous fire damage in 2024, and another on Canyon Creek Street around 6:15 p.m. that caused about $75,000 in damage from a broken power switch on an air conditioner with the Red Cross helping displaced residents and no injuries reported. - ➤ A historic home in Wichita Falls — built in 1892 and vacant for years — was destroyed by fire Saturday at 6 p.m., with firefighters taking about 20 minutes to extinguish the flames and no one being hurt as the cause remains under investigation. Times Record News
