- ➤ MSU Texas mass communication students won 29 awards at a TIPA competition in Denton. They placed second among 32 schools and earned first place for special edition design of their student newspaper. News Channel 6

- ➤ Storm chances are expected tonight with heavy rain and gusty winds in Wichita Falls, rising through Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Rain totals may reach 0.5-2 inches as storms continue into early next week. News Channel 6
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Midwestern State University celebrated cyclist Emma Kasza-James on Wednesday after she won the national championship race at the Valley of Tears event in Turkey (TX) on March 6-7. She will compete next at the Leadville Race Series event, supported by her coach and teammates. News Channel 6
- ➤ The Wichita Falls NetBurners have announced that they will play a showcase game on Saturday, April 25 at 6 p.m. at Kings & Queens Sports Academy in Little Elm where they will face the Frisco Blaze; adult tickets cost $7 and kids get in free. News Channel 6
