- ➤ The Wichita Falls Police Department arrested four people in connection to a murder investigation but none were charged with murder—three face aggravated perjury charges for lying during testimony and one is charged with unlawful firearm possession after a March 4th search uncovered surveillance videos linking him to a homicide from May 2024. - ➤ A Wichita County jury found former Knox County sheriff Michael Lloyd Carlson guilty of manslaughter for a May 17 crash on US 287 near Electra that killed 22‐month‐old Aveline Hill in May 2023 — after just over an hour of deliberation yesterday, the punishment phase will begin with both sides calling additional witnesses — as the sentencing process commences.
