EDUCATION NEWS

  • ➤ WFISD announced graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2026 will be held at Memorial Stadium; Memorial High will celebrate on Wed, May 20 and Legacy High on Thurs, May 21 at 8 p.m. (Gates open at 7 p.m. and events will move to Kay Yeager Coliseum if severe weather hits, with live streaming available.)  News Channel 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • ➤ The City of Wichita Falls is offering up to $4,000 in grants to help property owners in the Heart of the Falls Revitalization area remove dead or nuisance trees. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until June 30.  News Channel 6

  • ➤ MSU Texas named alumnus Drew Coffman as the new head coach for women's basketball today. He led Decatur to back-to-back state titles (an impressive run) and will start immediately to improve a 9-17 team.  News Channel 6
