ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • An ATV accident on Friday at 4:30 p.m. on private land near McKinney Road south of Wichita Falls claimed the life of 12-year-old John Kramer Barnard — a Barwise Middle School student and the son of a Wichita Falls ISD trustee — when the vehicle flipped, sheriff David Duke said as investigators continue their work.  Times Record News
  • Wichita Falls ISD is mourning the loss of 6th-grade student John Kramer Barnard who died on April 18 after an ATV crash, and counseling for students and staff at Barwise Middle School and Ben Franklin Elementary is available this week.  Texoma's Homepage
  • An oversized load struck a traffic signal at the intersection of Sunset and Seymour Highway today, forcing an all-way stop—city officials say repairs are underway but did not provide an estimated completion time.  News Channel 6

  • Gas prices in Texas fell by 9 cents in the past week to $2.65 per gallon, as a GasBuddy report shows that Americans now spend over $200 million less each day than last year—rising oil prices may soon stop the drop with some areas already seeing local increases.  News Channel 6
