  • City of Wichita Falls Animal Services named Chorizo and Vienna Pets of the Week; the two pups are from a litter of six and are now available for adoption. The $40 fee covers a microchip, initial vaccinations (excluding rabies) and flea and tick preventative.  News Channel 6

CRIME NEWS

  • Wichita Falls police arrested Kavia Vinson after she allegedly injured her ex-boyfriend’s two-day-old puppy by reportedly throwing it during an altercation on Texas Street on April 24 & she was booked on April 25 before being released on a $50,000 bond.  Texoma's Homepage
  • William Wallace, a former inmate at the James Allred Unit, pleaded guilty on April 25th to strangling fellow inmate Delandro Hamilton, who was found unresponsive in his bunk on September 28th, 2019—he received a 25-year prison sentence from Judge Jeff McKnight in the 89th District Court.  Texoma's Homepage

  • Glen Bacus, a Wichita Falls artist and photographer, turned his early work as a news photographer and promotion director at KFDX into a career creating murals, logos and commercials for KFDX and Texomas FOX—he recently joined fellow local artists in adopting a student-created monster from Southern Hills to help keep local art alive.  Texoma's Homepage

  • The MSU Texas Model UN team earned an Honorable Mention Delegation award at the national collegiate Model UN Conference in New York City from April 6–11, with 12 students representing the United Arab Emirates and two receiving an Outstanding Delegate award on the Human Rights Council—faculty supported the team with extensive weekly research and preparation.  Times Record News

  • Heavy rains and severe weather last week have caused floods in Texoma that closed roads such as Tulsa Street (located between Smith Street and Home Avenues), Wood Street, and McMurtry Road.
