- ➤ The City of Wichita Falls honored the Salvation Army with a proclamation today as National Salvation Army Week kicked off to recognize its service to local families since 1910. The Wichita Falls Salvation Army will host community events this week (with volunteers from local institutions supporting their efforts). News Channel 6
- ➤ Wichita Falls Police Department held a memorial service to honor seven officers who gave their lives for the community. Chief Manuel Borrego and family members remembered Lt. - ➤ On Saturday morning, Wichita Falls ISD Career Education Center students ran pop-up businesses at the Downtown Wichita Falls Farmers Market for Market Day 2025—testing their skills in product selection, finance, and advertising. Funded by an IDEA grant, the project gave 11th and 12th graders from Legacy and Memorial high schools hands-on experience in entrepreneurship. Times Record News
- ➤ At Midwestern State University, top students were honored on April 25 in D.L. Ligon Coliseum when Rykir J.A. Evans was named Hardin Scholar with a $3,000 scholarship plus Kandice R.
