- ➤ Memorial Day events are planned in Wichita Falls with a remembrance ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday at the County Cemetery — Thomas Fowler American Legion Post No. 169 will host a service at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Crestview Cemetery. Elliston Assisted Living will host a cookout Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $10 with free meals for veterans and Jellystone Park resort will offer themed events for guests from Friday through Monday. - ➤ Police were involved in a four-hour standoff on Gilbert Avenue last night and arrested 54-year-old Donald Nail without injuries—resident Sylvia Campos said she feared for her family's safety as bullets hit her home, including her son's room. News Channel 6
- ➤ A jury was seated Tuesday afternoon in the trial of Anthony Michael Kienlen, who is accused of firing at officers and firefighters during a 2021 incident on Turkey Ranch Road west of Wichita Falls—opening statements are scheduled for Wednesday morning. Times Record News
