  • The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department will continue its Free Outdoor Concert Series on Tuesday at Bud Daniel Park with Downtown Royalty performing soulful rock and roll at 7 p.m.—the free event is expected to bring music fans together in our community.  Times Record News

  • Downtown Wichita Falls Development announced that the Chamber will now lead economic development efforts downtown moving forward—The group said it remains involved to help set shared growth goals.  News Channel 6

  • Memorial High School held its first graduation ceremony Friday night, marking a major milestone for the new school and its inaugural class—community members and school leaders congratulated the graduates and shared messages of pride and hard work.   • Texas lawmakers approved House Bill 1393—adopting Texas Time to end the twice-yearly clock changes—and will send the bill to Gov. Greg Abbott for signing; the change awaits federal action because the Uniform Time Act sets DST dates.  Times Record News

  • Wichita Falls residents rely on Air Evac Lifeteam helicopters, each flown by a pilot, nurse, and paramedic, to reach patients in rural emergencies where ambulances cannot easily go. Roger Ritchie said the service has reached patients in hard-to-access areas — as Memorial Day approaches, officials urge residents to travel safely.  News Channel 6
  • The Wichita Falls Public Health District inspected restaurants and food establishments from May 15 to 23 and found that several locations earned perfect or near-perfect scores. Stripes, Polka Dot Sasquatch, and Shivers Shaved Ice led the high ratings (Bahama Buck's 99, Northside Grill 99, Pizza Hut 98) as part of routine food safety monitoring.  Times Record News
