  • Mayor Tim Short recognized five friends known as the Fab Five during their second annual scholarship banquet for awarding three scholarships to students from local high schools. The group, which first formed on a cruise, will continue helping students attend college—two recipients will attend Midwestern State University while one will attend Texas Tech this fall.  Texoma's Homepage
  • A collection of TRN photos shows a busy May in Wichita Falls as local athletes ran in track meets, playoff games were played, and events like a debutante presentation, school ceremonies, and a historical marker restoration took place. The images also capture a flooded Wichita River and the reopening of Long John Silver's — a sign of the community coming together — offering a clear view of local life.  Times Record News
