  • Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and Wichita Falls Farmers Market have teamed up to offer vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables until September 30 to seniors and WIC participants. Dan Patrick held a press conference at Wichita Falls Regional Airport on Tuesday — where he discussed school choice, a THC ban, and property tax relief — following the end of the 89th Legislature on June 2.   • Wichita Falls is accepting sealed bids for improvements on two lake lot properties at 2105 West Arrowhead Drive and 247 Penobscot Trail and on five trustee parcels at 4804 Alamo, 919 East Cottonwood, 1416 Normandy, 1907 6th Street, and 716 Welch—bids must include a cashier's check for 10% of the total bid and be submitted in the Legal Department Conference Room at 719 Scott Avenue by Friday, June 13 at 3:00 p.m.  Texoma's Homepage
  • Wichita County commissioners approved tax-exempt bonds for Nortex Housing Finance Corporation so it can renovate Sun Valley Apartments on Central Freeway East. The $22 million project will not use county funds and will lose $15,000 in tax revenue a year while Overland Property Group will lease and manage the property and pay $520,000 in lieu of taxes over 20 years — officials expect the changes to help improve safety in a complex with a history of crime.  Times Record News
