City officials announced that the 4th in the Falls Freedom Fest will take place on Independence Day evening, co-hosted by Sheppard Air Force Base and featuring food trucks, vendors, a classic car show, live music and a Battle of the Bands.

The festival begins at 5 p.m. with a national anthem and flyover at 6:30 p.m.—News Channel 6 will air live coverage at 9 p.m.—and ends with a fireworks display.

The Wichita Boots and Badges Blood Drive will be held on June 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church—donors will help the police and fire departments compete while every donor who registers online 24 hours before the event triggers a donation to Hands to Hands.

Two Wichita Falls teens, Chase Brumley and Jason Villarreal, both 18, face felony charges for vehicle burglary and firearm theft after police stopped them following a reported break-in on June 11—Brumley also faces charges of tampering with evidence and evading arrest while officers recovered a stolen gun and loaded magazines from the scene.
