  • The Wichita Amateur Radio Society will host Wichita Falls Field Day at Kiwanis Park from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until Sunday morning, and the free event will showcase reliable amateur radio communication as part of a national exercise organized by the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL).  Texoma's Homepage
  • The Clay County Volunteer Fire Department will host a hamburger and fries fundraiser at the Pioneer Rodeo Grounds Pavilion in Henrietta on June 28 to support local heroes Robert Montgomery and Bryan McKee. Bryan McKee remains in critical condition after a fall from a ladder truck while fighting a house fire and Robert Montgomery recently lost his teenage daughter—100% of donations will go directly to them.  Texoma's Homepage

  • Ruby City, a new seafood restaurant with a Southeast Asian twist, is moving into the old Highlander Public House location downtown underneath the Kate Apartments—renovations are ongoing and a soft opening will be held in July.   • Janae Ariana Aragon was released on a personal recognizance bond after 99 days in jail since the stabbing death of 70-year-old James Shierling on Oct. 26, following a legal time limit that expired due to a crime lab backlog delaying grand jury consideration—police allege her DNA was found at the scene.  Times Record News

  • Backdoor Theatre, a Wichita Falls non-profit, received a Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant to support the launch of a Veteran Improv Troupe later this year that will give veterans a space to connect and share their experiences through humor—more details will be announced soon.  Texoma's Homepage

  • Middle and high school students at Midwestern State University are spending the week at Yes Camp learning engineering skills through robot experiments and a model plane contest.
