The Wichita County Buddy Walk will return to Garnett Field in October with a walk, games, and food that promote inclusion for those with Down syndrome and is the largest event of its kind within 100 miles.

Participant and support teams will join to raise funds for The Arc of Wichita County (501(c)3 nonprofit) while sponsorships are available (from $500 to $5,000).

A Wichita Falls man on parole was arrested after he allegedly robbed a restaurant on Denver Street—taking five pieces of chicken when cash was not given—and later held a convenience store clerk at gunpoint to get $96, and he now faces aggravated robbery charges with a $1 million bond.

A Wichita County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Justice Zimmer after spotting him riding a scooter late on June 26 in a high drug trafficking area—officers found methamphetamine, a knife, and bullets during the stop, and he was booked into jail with total bail set at $35,000.

A Wichita Falls man was arrested on June 25th for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend during a domestic altercation on the 4700 block of Hollandale Avenue—police say he threw food and poured a drink on her head, and he is now held in jail on a $5,000 bond.

The next Evening of Improv show will bring a live, unscripted comedy performance to the Backdoor Theatre main stage and tickets cost $12 each.

Theatre staff urge guests to arrive early because unclaimed tickets will be resold at 7:25 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. shows—upcoming dates include June 28, September 13 and October 31.
