- ➤ Organizers from across the region held the first public safety meeting this week to set security plans for riders, volunteers, and spectators at the four-day Hotter'N Hell Hundred event. - ➤ Assured Roofing replaced a one-story home’s roof in southern Wichita Falls after a severe hail storm caused major damage—insurance paid for the complete replacement. - ➤ Cafe Con Leche hosted its Road to College graduation at Sikes Lake Center on July 17, honoring 82 graduates who completed a six-week program that prepares students from sixth to twelfth grade for higher education. - ➤ Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 21 on June 20th to create the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, which lets the state use its rainy day fund to invest up to $500 million in Bitcoin. Sen. - ➤ Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls trains fighter pilots from 14 nations in the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program, a unique course involving an alliance of 32 nations+ it is meant to keep NATO ready amid rising global tensions.
