  • Eight-year-old Beck Lundgren from Graham sent Lego care packages to children affected by the Texas Hill Country floods and now receives a boost as Fox Network and Lego Masters send him new Lego gear—pens, notebooks, a reusable bag, and a keychain—to help complete his donation boxes. CRIME NEWS

  • Tanner Wayne Gillispie, 30, from Seymour was arrested on July 23 and booked into Wichita County Jail with a $100,000 bond on two manslaughter counts tied to a December 4 crash on U.S. Highway 82 in Baylor County that killed Anthony Rodriguez, 34, and Kimberly Perez, 31—his 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 drove the wrong way and hit a 2017 Toyota Prius.  Texoma's Homepage

  • Today, a recent review by Family Destinations Guide named Wichita Falls the eighth most affordable city in Texas due to a cost of living 14% below the national average — Beaumont ranked seventh while Port Arthur came in ninth and El Paso was the most affordable.  News Channel 6
  • AAA Texas reported that Wichita Falls gas prices have held steady at $2.72 per gallon — statewide prices climbed one cent and the national average reached $3.16 — as low oil prices keep pump costs affordable.  News Channel 6

  • Teachers in Wichita Falls can save on classroom supplies with special deals from Michaels, Target Circle, Staples, Office Depot, Dollar General, and Pencils.com.   • The NWTF&S is offering its final hunter’s education course before dove season at its office on Southwest Parkway — the course runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and requires pre-registration with a printed registration and a $15 fee for hunters born on or after September 2, 1971.  Texoma's Homepage
