- ➤ AAA Texas reported that gas prices averaged $2.75 a gallon for regular unleaded fuel, two cents less than a week ago and 31 cents lower than last year—crude oil prices holding in the mid $60s per barrel kept pump prices steady. News Channel 6

- ➤ Deputy City Attorney James McKechnie has been elevated to deputy city manager — he will oversee the city fleet, human resources, the health department and Wichita Falls Regional Airport while also serving as liaison to the Wichita County-City of Wichita Falls Hospital Board.
