- ➤ At a work session on Tuesday, Wichita Falls City Council reviewed a proposed 2026 budget that would raise revenue by increasing property taxes while lowering the tax rate and include a 2% increase in water and sewer rates; council members are considering alternatives such as paying off capital debt to offset the hike.
