- ➤ GasBuddy reported that Texas gasoline prices increased by 6.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.73 today — the prices are 1.7 cents lower than a month ago and 24.1 cents lower than a year ago, with station prices ranging from $2.19 to $4.09 per gallon. News Channel 6
- ➤ The Texas Labor Market reported that 8,700 jobs were added in July, bringing the state's total to 14,333,800 nonfarm positions with a 1.6 percent growth—exceeding the national rate by 0.6 percentage points.
