- ➤ Wichita Falls City Council met on Tuesday and approved plans to form a new City-County Homeless Advisory Committee—following a study on homelessness challenges in the city. - ➤ Wichita County Sheriff David Duke retired after meeting with county commissioners Tuesday morning, following 43 years of service, and he asked for Deputy Chief William Rutledge to succeed him.
