The nonprofit, which has served the community for 58 years, asks donors and volunteers to help deliver essential meals. News Channel 6
- ➤ The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation hosted the final Texoma Gives, which began in 2016 and raised nearly $13 million for local nonprofits. The event ends at 7 p.m.—local groups will use the fundraising lessons learned to guide future efforts. News Channel 6
- ➤ The Wichita Falls Area Crime Stoppers will host Texoma Gives’ annual Armadillo Derby where community leaders—Mayor Tim Short, Police Chief Manuel Borrego, Fire Chief Cody Melton, and Superintendent Dr. Donny Lee—will compete in a virtual race to raise funds by the end of the event, while board president Samantha Forester said organizers hope to hold live races in future years.
