  • Alice, a 5-year-old short-haired cat that loves pets and relaxing, is the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services' Pet of the Week.   • Burkburnett is transforming its historic cotton gin into a new downtown event venue that now houses the Chamber of Commerce and features new concrete work and updated electrical systems—these upgrades will support live music, food trucks and other events.   • Southside Youth Senter announced a costume drive that will run from Monday through Oct. 10 to collect new and gently used costumes, candy buckets, masks, and accessories for children.
