  • A new AAA Texas study revealed that 96% of drivers admitted both aggressive driving and being targets of such behavior, noting increases like a 67% rise in cutting off vehicles—encouraging the use of better road etiquette to reduce road rage.  News Channel 6
  • The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank will host the Empty Bowls fundraiser on Oct. 15 to help fight hunger in its 12-county service area. Local artists, restaurants and volunteers will donate handcrafted bowls — symbols of the daily struggle against food insecurity — to support families in need.  News Channel 6

  • Dulce Delight Antojitos Landa opened Tuesday at 3115 Kemp Blvd. in Wichita Falls to serve Mexican-style desserts, snacks and appetizers — family co-owners Hector, Leslie and Lorena Landa said they are excited to welcome locals. The snack bar operates from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is closed on Monday.  Times Record News
  • Wichita Falls entrepreneur Ernest Terry turned his backyard hobby into Model A Raw Honey, a growing business now named a top five finalist in the Idea WF competition; if he wins, he will use the funding to buy larger equipment and process his honey at home (the luncheon is set for Oct. 15).  News Channel 6

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Today, a Wichita Falls group is looking to buy the old Fain Presbyterian Church building to make it a Christian school. The group needs $7.9 million to fix up the 31,000-square-foot property on Speedway Ave owned by Mike Shallenberger—school president Blaine Barton said a final decision will come in the next couple of weeks as fundraising and city council work continue.  Times Record News
