Good morning, Wichita Falls.

Residents can celebrate fall in Wichita Falls with events.

Enjoy a haunted house at 2317 Harding St. on select dates, a corn maze at Morath Orchard opening Saturday at 10852 W. Farm to Market 171, and the University UMC Pumpkin Patch at 3405 Taft Blvd., plus fall markets in October.

Candy Craze, a longtime sweets shop at Sikes Senter, announced on Facebook that it is closing after 26 years of operation with no closing date set, following Red Robin’s announcement two days earlier as the city moves toward its redevelopment plan.

Forward Wichita Falls asked the Texas Attorney General to deny a records request on Sikes Senter bidding details — the group said releasing names and offer amounts could give competitors an advantage in ongoing negotiations.

The nonprofit economic agency received four proposals on the 51-year-old mall and expects a decision in four to six weeks.

Today, Wichita Falls Animal Services features Raven, a sweet adult black cat with a balanced mix of play and calm.

Adoption fees are waived for the homecoming event until Oct. 3 at the shelter (1207 Hatton Rd).
