- ➤ Yesterday, the MSU Ceramic and Art Department readied handcrafted empty bowls — a fundraiser effort to help the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank feed those in need. The event will be held on Oct. 15 at The Forum. Times Record News
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ City officials approved a record sale of over 225 acres at the Wichita Falls Business Park to Texas Data Centers Campus LLC at $65,000 per acre, a deal that will create about 300 jobs and lower taxes. The new datacenter project—using a closed-loop water cooling system—will expand to 3-4 million square feet and be built out in about six or seven years. News Channel 6
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Burkburnett ISD welding students built door rams—tools used by resource officers—to help keep all six campuses safe. The project taught them teamwork and essential skills while supporting the district’s safety measures. News Channel 6

- ➤ Texas Workforce Solutions will host the Second Chance Job Fair tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sikes Senter Mall — where roughly 38 employers from health care, food service, manufacturing, and truck driving will gather. The event will also offer resources — including résumé help and interview practice to equip job seekers with essential skills. News Channel 6
- ➤ Residents on Gardner Road must boil water or use bottled water today because a water main broke—Montague County issued the notice effective until at least Friday, Oct 10. News Channel 6
- ➤ The League of Women Voters released its Nonpartisan Voters Guide detailing 17 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution—covering issues from technical college funding and bail options to water resources, property taxes, and judicial selection—as voters prepare for early voting on October 20 and Election Day on November 4.
