- ➤ Fishers aged 16 and under are invited to join Fish Fest at Lake Gordon in Iowa Park on October 18 at 9:00 a.m., fishing for stocked adult channel catfish while enjoying a free lunch with hotdogs, chips, cookies and drinks. Lake Gordon will be closed to other fishing from October 16 to noon on October 18+ parents must sign a waiver at the event. News Channel 6
- ➤ Wise Hope, a local non-profit, supports domestic abuse survivors during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month by offering a 24/7 hotline, shelter, legal aid and counseling—helping around 320 local clients access vital resources each year. News Channel 6

- ➤ The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Wichita Falls is hosting its biannual Secure Your ID Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, October 18 to let residents shred up to three boxes of sensitive documents and protect against identity theft. - ➤ The Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra will begin its 77th season on Saturday, October 18 at First Baptist Church with a Hollywood Hits performance featuring tunes from classic movies led by conductor Fouad Fakhouri. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets cost $10 for students and $29 for adults — the show is a temporary move as renovations continue at Memorial Auditorium. News Channel 6

- ➤ GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 Texas gas stations showed that average gasoline prices dropped 12.0 cents per gallon last week — with the cheapest station priced at $2.18 and the priciest at $5.39 — and prices are now 16.9 cents lower than a month ago and 10.9 cents lower than last year.
