  • Officials from TxDOT and Wichita Falls Police Department warned that Halloween night is especially dangerous for trick-or-treaters because children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car on this night and last year 89 pedestrians were killed, urging drivers to use headlights, drive slower, and stay alert while advising parents to dress kids in bright costumes for better visibility.  News Channel 6

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Voters are weighing in on Proposition 15, a constitutional amendment that would give parents primary decision-making power and might impose new oversight and standards on Wichita Falls ISD if passed—one local parent said the ballot wording is unclear as early voting runs through Friday ahead of Election Day on November 4th.  News Channel 6
  • USPS marks its 250th anniversary with a new historical coffee table book — Delivering for America: How the United States Built a Nation, written by former National Postal Museum director James H.
