CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Wichita Falls Public Library will host its annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at 600 11th Street – the event features the Ken Nelson Jazz Band, hands-on crafts, gift wrapping and photo opportunities for guests of all ages. News Channel 6
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ County commissioners approved tax abatement incentives for a $165.7 million solar farm project from Samsung-related Nymphaea Solar on 900 acres near Burkburnett on Dec. 9. Construction will begin in the first half of 2027 and create about 250 temporary construction jobs. Times Record News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Workers will repair a concrete failure on the left two lanes of eastbound Kell Freeway from Taft Boulevard to Brook Avenue starting today and continuing until Friday. Motorists are urged to slow down + stay alert for delays. Times Record News
