- ➤ The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation awarded over $137,000 in grants to youth-focused nonprofits and volunteer fire departments in Texas and Oklahoma on Dec. 23, supporting 12 nonprofits and 11 fire departments. The next nonprofit cycle opens in summer 2026 + the next VFD cycle begins Feb. 1. Times Record News
- ➤ The city will offer four locations for natural Christmas tree disposal after Christmas Day until Jan. 18, including Lucy Park, Kiwanis Park, and the city’s transfer station and landfill (residents must remove decorations and show residency proof). Times Record News

- ➤ Many Wichita Falls retailers, grocers, and restaurants will adjust their holiday hours on New Year’s Day, with most remaining open.
