The Wichita Falls Wichita County Public Health District’s WIC program will host its Summer Kickoff event (a free nutrition and wellness celebration) on Friday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at MPEC Exhibit Hall B where more than 20 community partners will offer vouchers and resource information. Families will also enjoy games, an obstacle course, a parachute, and prizes, including door prizes, during the event.

On May 11, the National Association of Letter Carriers and Wichita Falls Area Food Bank hosted the successful 'Stamp Out Hunger' initiative where letter carriers picked up food donations that totaled 38,303 pounds — enough for 31,919 meals.

The food bank now needs volunteers to help process these donations so neighbors can receive the food.
