- ➤ The Wichita Falls Wichita County Public Health District’s WIC program will host its Summer Kickoff event (a free nutrition and wellness celebration) on Friday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at MPEC Exhibit Hall B where more than 20 community partners will offer vouchers and resource information. - ➤ On May 11, the National Association of Letter Carriers and Wichita Falls Area Food Bank hosted the successful 'Stamp Out Hunger' initiative where letter carriers picked up food donations that totaled 38,303 pounds — enough for 31,919 meals. - ➤ At the Wichita County Courthouse, a jury on May 27 found Anthony Kienlen guilty of one count of attempted capital murder for firing on officers during a standoff at a Turkey Ranch Road home on Oct. 13—law enforcement and firefighters responded to the incident. Times Record News
