- ➤ Wichita County commissioners approved tax-exempt bonds for Nortex Housing Finance Corporation so it can renovate Sun Valley Apartments on Central Freeway East. The $22 million project will not use county funds and will lose $15,000 in tax revenue a year while Overland Property Group will lease and manage the property and pay $520,000 in lieu of taxes over 20 years — officials expect the changes to help improve safety in a complex with a history of crime.
