- ➤ A Dumas woman, Madeleine Blanco-Garcia, died when the 2015 Ford Edge she was riding in veered off U.S. Highway 287 nearly 8 miles west of Wichita Falls on Wednesday night around 8:25 p.m.—the accident occurred when the vehicle struck equipment on an unoccupied Kenworth truck and officers closed the highway while working the wreck.
